SchoolSources is the mc•tsg program of vendor relationships. We are currently restructuring this program and will provide updates as this program redevelops.
The purpose of our vendor relationships is three-fold. First, it is our goal to standardize (where feasible) Ohio K-12 entities on a few, high-quality, value-proven, technologies in each product and service area. This helps to reduce support and training costs throughout the state as standardization occurs. Our second goal is to develop multi-year relationships with vendors that can provide leadership and guidance in the adoption, deployment, and support of new technologies over time in Ohio schools. We do this so that there can be planned transitions and logical, scheduled, replacements of technologies over time allowing organizations to budget for these transitions. Finally, we attempt to pool the purchasing power of the entire Ohio K-12 community (as well as local and state government, and higher education) to achieve economies of scale and cost-savings that could not be achieved as individual organizations.
Sources for ITCs provides information tailored to Information Technology Centers which serve K-12 districts in the state of Ohio.
Sources for Schools provides links to vendors that have products and services available specifically oriented for the K-12 community in Ohio.
Sources for Teachers and Students provides information on discounts available to faculty, staff, and students in Ohio.
Sources for Evaluation are products or services provided by commercial providers that might be of benefit to education and other entities but are not evaluated by the mc•tsg. Many of these are free or low cost.
If you are a vendor or want to have a relationship with the mc-tsg, please be aware that the mc-tsg is currently restructuring the way we deal with vendors. Further details will be posted as they are availbale.
